Concerts & live music

Every date on the tour, one platform

Run the on-sale, seat the room, put the ticket in the phone and handle the refund when the date moves — without stitching four tools together.

In short

How does TixFin work for concerts?

A concert is a short, sharp sales window followed by one night of operations. TixFin covers both: ticket types with automatic pricing phases and a FIFO waitlist for sold-out tiers, reserved seating from a 2D or 3D seatmap with a hold-release-confirm flow that cannot double-sell a place, Apple and Google Wallet passes styled from your own ticket design, and payments through Adyen, PayPal, Mollie or bank transfer with refunds handled the same way on every rail.

  • Pricing phases that switch on schedule
  • Reserved seating with no double-selling
  • Wallet passes and same-rail refunds

Challenges

What actually goes wrong at a concert on-sale

  • Everyone arrives at once

Demand lands in the first minutes. Sold-out tiers need a waitlist that catches the overflow instead of a page that just says no.

  • The date moves

Reschedules and cancellations mean status changes and refunds across hundreds of orders, on whichever rail each buyer used.

  • The gate is the bottleneck

A queue outside is a queue that could have been scanning. Tickets have to be findable on the phone, not in an inbox.

Capabilities

What you get for a live show

  • 01

    Tiered pricing phases

Early bird, regular and last-minute prices switch automatically per ticket type, so nobody edits a price at midnight before an on-sale.

  • 02

    Reserved or general admission

Sell standing capacity and seated blocks side by side; seated purchases run through a hold-release-confirm reservation flow.

  • 03

    Waitlist with auto-release

Sold-out tiers keep selling: cancellations, refunds and expired reservations hand the place to the next person with a timed claim link.

  • 04

    Wallet passes

Apple .pkpass and Add to Google Wallet come with the confirmation email, styled from the ticket design you configured.

  • 05

    Multi-provider payments

Adyen, PayPal, Mollie and bank transfer run in parallel per project, and refunds and status lookups route themselves.

  • 06

    Checkout recovery

Up to three reminder emails with an optional incentive win back the carts people opened during the rush and never finished.

Live sales

Watch the on-sale as it happens

The project dashboard shows sales, ticket status distribution and live figures for the current event, with a funnel underneath to tell you where buyers stopped. When something breaks at scale, error analysis says what — while the sale is still running.

Workflow

From announcement to doors

  1. 01

    Create the date

Add the event to your project, connect the venue and publish it to your branded shop.

  2. 02

    Structure the inventory

Set up ticket types with pricing phases, link seated blocks to the seatmap and enable the waitlist.

  3. 03

    Open the sale

Take payment on the rails your audience uses and let recovery emails pick up the unfinished carts.

  4. 04

    Run the door

Scan wallet passes at check-in and watch the live counts per entrance until doors close.

FAQ

Concert questions

  • Yes. Ticket types can sell general admission capacity while other types are tied to blocks on a seatmap, so a standing floor and a seated tier live in the same event and the same checkout.
  • Enable the waitlist for that ticket type. Buyers join with a double opt-in, and when a cancellation, refund or expired reservation frees capacity, the next entry receives a time-limited claim link automatically.
  • Every payment provider implements the same interface, so refunds and status lookups behave identically whether the buyer paid with Adyen, PayPal, Mollie or bank transfer. Ticket status changes are recorded in the admin audit trail.
  • No. The confirmation email carries the Apple Wallet pass as an attachment and an Add to Google Wallet button, and the QR code in the pass is what the scanner validates at the door.
